sVc's oil filter range is listed with key dimension information as well as details of diaphragm, anti-drain and relief valve functionality where applicable. Relief valves are situated on the bottom end cap of the filter element inside the metallic housing and ensure release of overpressure that could be created in the housing resulting from cold starts (high oil viscosity due to low temperatures). Another reason for relief valve operation is contamination of the filter media from dirt due to late service intervals. Anti-drain valves/rubber diaphragms ensure that filter remain full with oil – so readily available once the engine re-starts. Please search our database by vehicle application, or with an Alco, Fram, TJ, Tecalemit, Mann, Crosland, Wix or AC etc. part number to identify an equivalent filter – checking filter type, dimensions and functionality offered match your existing filter. If your particular application is not covered by our current range, please email with details of your requirement – including any cross refence and key information - and we will investigate availability of an equivalent filter.
