U.S. Import Tariffs – Effective 29 August 2025

Important Changes to U.S. Imports

Effective 29 August 2025, the U.S. de minimis exemption has ended. Previously, goods valued under USD 800 could enter the United States without import duties.

All goods imported into the U.S. are now subject to:

  • Import duties and tariffs
  • Customs clearance charges
  • Brokerage or handling fees

Charges are calculated based on:

  • The declared value of the goods
  • The country of manufacture

Ordering from the U.S.

To ensure continued delivery to our U.S. customers, orders are currently processed on a Pro-forma Invoice basis while we update our checkout system.

How to Place an Order

  1. Add all required items to your basket
  2. Select your preferred shipping service
  3. Request a Pro-forma Invoice

Within business hours, we will email:

  • Your shipping quotation
  • Applicable import charges (where relevant)
  • A secure payment link

Orders are not processed until payment has been received.

Shipping Options for U.S. Orders

DHL Express – Duties & Tariffs Paid Separately

Orders sent via DHL are shipped ex tariffs/duties.

This means:

  • Import duties, tariffs, brokerage fees and taxes are not paid by us in advance
  • DHL will contact you directly before delivery to collect payment
  • These charges must be paid to DHL/U.S. Customs before delivery can be completed

We are not involved in the collection or calculation of these charges once the shipment has been dispatched.

Royal Mail / International Postal Services – Duties Paid in Advance (DDP)

International postal services do not currently offer us an unpaid-duty option for U.S. shipments.

Therefore, all Royal Mail / postal shipments to the U.S. are sent on a:

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis

This means:

  • Import duties and tariffs are calculated by us before dispatch
  • These charges are included on your Pro-forma Invoice
  • No additional customs payment should be required on delivery

We appreciate your patience while these new U.S. import regulations are implemented and our systems are updated.
